CrossFit is for every body and everybody. Period. Training for kids versus adults varies by degree, not kind, meaning that our kiddos should be doing the same work we are in the gym just at different capacity and potentially different movement variations. The idea is the same whether the athlete is 7 or 70 - constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity (relative to the individual).
CrossFit Aggregate provides a safe environment for young athletes to begin building a foundation for a lifetime of fitness. Our goal is to offer kids a head start on a healthy lifestyle through fun and engaging workouts to spark their love for fitness. Whatever we can do to combat the rise in childhood obesity and related issues... and however we can get them from behind their screens.
This class will maintain the fun element of our Cub Fit program while introducing the athletes to basic weight training and/or skill development. The class will feature a warm-up, skill or lifting section, and then some conditioning. Class will end with a game or some stretching.
Our youngest athletes will focus on learning how to move their body in space with most of their classes involving using body weight or light weight medicine balls, pvc pipes and the like. Our coaches main goal will be to get them to have fun while exercising. We will utilize games to encourage fitness skills like balance, agility and focus.
